The Worshiping Of False Idols – Who Or What Are These Idols Today?

Hello, wherever you are today reading this I want you to know that God loves you more than you could ever know. Even when you sin and do bad things, the Lord still loves you and will forgive all of your sins, right now, today, this very minute. He is only waiting for you to come to Him.

Now, you may be thinking, “Oh, yes, I must pray to Mary, Jesus’ mother, and she will beg and plead my case before the throne of her son, Jesus, so He will forgive me of my sins.” Every good and sincere Catholic would think because they have been taught that Mary and many godly saints are up in heaven waiting to hear our prayers. But does the Word of God actually teach this?

Listen: “If we acknowledge our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from every wrong doing. If we say ‘we have not sinned,’ we make a liar, and His word is not in us.” I John 1:9, 10.

Jesus is our only intercessor and mediator: Notice: “Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has similarly been tested in every way, yet without sin. So let us confidentlly approach the throne of grace for timely help.” Heb 4:12. Another version reads: “Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy (for our failures) and find grace to help in good time for every need (appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it.” Amplified.

Jesus is our high priest, our intercessor and mediator. Isaiah 59:16-21. “He (Jesus) ever lives to make intercession for them.” Hebrews 7:25. So, why then does the Catholic Church teach us that we need to pray to Mary on the Rosary, repeating these phrases, “Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.?” And “Hail Mary, full of Grace, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death?” Many do not realize it but this prayer is actually a death wish. Nor do we need to keep on repeating a prayer over and over again because Christ told us in Matt 6:7. “But when you pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.”

“But,” someone will ask, “Isn’t Mary the most blessed woman who ever lived? And was she not also the ‘Mother of God?'” The answer to both questions is: “Yes,” because the angel told her that she was “highly favored” and “blessed ..among women.” Luke 1:28. But let us examine the scriptures more closely regarding Mary. First of all, there is no record of Jesus’ mother ever performing a miracle, before or after the cross, although she was with the 120 in the upper room and no doubt received the baptism of the Holy Spirit the same as the others. Secondly, Mary died, the same as all of the other apostles and Christians in her day. Third, the Bible no where states that Mary was taken to heaven after her death. In fact, Peter, on the day of entecost, clearly states that even David did not go to heaven when he died. Notice: “My brothers, one can confidently say to you about the patriarch David that he died and was buried, and his tomb is in our midst to this day…for David did not go up into heaven.” Acts 2:29, 34.

The Bible is very clear about what happens to a person when they die. “For the living know that they are to die, but the dead no longer know anything. There is no further recompense for them, because all memory of them (their own memories) is lost. For them, love and hatred and rivalry have long since perished. They will never again have part in anything that is done under the sun….for there will be no work, nor reason, nor knowledge, nor wisdom in the nether world where you are going.” Eccles. 9:5, 6, 10. The New American Bible, Saint Joseph Edition. Imprimatur. July 27, 1970. “But the dead know nothing; they don’t even have their memories.” Ecless. 9:5. Living Bible. “For who among the dead remembers you? Who praises you in Sheol?” Psalm 6:6. “When they (mortals) breathe their last, they return to the earth; that day all their planning comes to nothing.” Psalm 146:4. “So men lie down and rise not again. Till the heavens are no more, they shall not awake, nor be roused out of their sleep…If his sons are honored, he is not aware of it; if they are in disgrace, he does not know about them.” Job 14:12, 21. Please note how God’s word defines death itself as a “sleep.” The NT continues this theme of the dead sleeping until the resurrection. When Lazarus died, Jesus told His disciples: “Our friend Lazarus is asleep, but I am going to awaken him.” John 11:11. Lazarus, like King David, did not go to heaven at death even though they both were good men. Cf I Thess 4:14; 5:10; I Cor 11:30; 15:51; So, when will God judge/reward or repay mankind for the deeds done in this life? “For the Son of Man will come with his angels in his Father’s glory, and then he will repay everyone according to his conduct.” Matt 16:27; Dan 12:2. “When the Son of man shall come in His glory…before Him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.” Matt 25:31-33. Furthermore, the word “soul” simply means a person. Your soul is not a separate entity inside of or apart from the body. The word “soul” simply means a person. The spirit or breath is what God breathes into us at the time of our conception and birth. Psalm 146:4; Gen 2:7; 7:22; Job 27:3; La 4:20. Furthermore, the word “hell” is from the Greek work “hades” meaning the dark place. When a person dies he does not go to heaven or hell but sleeps until the resurrection.

“Ok,” you will say, “I can see that now. But what about the the ‘Fire of God’? And what is ‘God’s wrath?’ Doesn’t God destroy the wicked with everlasting, eternal hell fire?” No, that is not the truth. First of all, that is not the true character of our heavenly Father. The truth is that God has never hurt or killed anyone in the history of Great Controversy between Christ and Satan. The proof is in the life of Jesus Himself. Not once did Jesus ever hurt or kill anyone while on earth. He kept all of the Ten Commandments, including “Thou shalt not Kill.” How could He be the Messiah and true to His Father if He did not keep the very law He Himself gave us in the law? Furthermore, John 10:10 says that He is the “Good Shepherd” who came to give us life. It is Satan who destroys. Jesus said to the people of His day: “You belong to your father the devil and you willingly carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he speaks in character, because he is a liar and the father of lies.” John 8:44. Cf Acts 10:38.

The signs that the world is coming to an end are all around us. Jesus predicted that there would be wars, hurricanes, floods, famines and all kinds of disasters in the last days. Matt 24 and Luke 21. Now it is happening all around us and the media broadcasts it all in living color day and night.

But that is final deception coming that will be the worst one of all. And that will be when Satan appears as Jesus Christ himself. Paul has predicted this: “Let no one deceive you in any way. For unless the apostasy comes first and the lawless one is revealed, the one doomed to perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god and object of worship, so as to seat himself in the temple of God, claiming that he is god…” I Thess. 2:3, 4. Now, this is where the deception of Mary is going to come into play. Through modern technology and witchcraft, the powers that be have joined joined pseudo science and Satanism into one final masterpiece of end time deception. In the very near future they are going to project holographic images of Mary in the clouds of the sky at various places all around the world. They will also make it appear that Jesus Christ has come again just as the Bible has predicted. Then they will project the a holographic image of Mary, whom they believe is the Queen of Heaven in the sky to make it look and sound like she is announcing the arrival of her son. “People of the earth, listen to me. This is my beloved son. Listen to Him because He has come to bring you a message of truth and peace to save your world.”

One godly writer has even predicted this would happen. Listen: “As the crowning act in the great drama of deception, Satan himself will personate Christ. The church has long professed to look to the Saviour’s advent as the consummation of her hopes. Now the great deceiver will make it appear that Christ has come. In different parts of the earth, Satan will manifest himself among men as a majestic being of dazzling brightness, resembling the description of the Son of God given by John in the Revelation. Rev. 1:13-15.” GC 624.

Yes, beloved, in this assumed character of Christ Satan’s voice will sound soft and subdued as he speaks to them in a gentle, compassionate tone of voice. He will even heal the diseases of the people. And then in his assumed character of Christ, he will claim to have changed the Sabbath to Sunday, and command all to hallow the day which he has blessed, which of course is Sunday, the first day of the week. But do you know that they are in the process of changing the calendars so that Sunday will become the 7th day of the week. Satan will tell the people that those who persist in keeping holy the 7th day are blaspheming his name by refusing to listen to his angels sent to them with light and truth. This will be the almost overmastering delusion that will sweep the world. Only the Elect will escape this trap. Matt 24:24; Luke 21:34-36. May the Lord bless and keep you as you pray and study on this most important topic of end time prophecy. Your friend, Purity Holman.
