Commentary On Revelation – Chapter 5

As we continue on in our study of the book Revelation, we need to take be aware of the sequence of the events John is describing to us. Notice the phrase “After this” or “After these things” which John also uses in Rev 7:1; Rev 18:1 and Rev 19:1. There is not always a strict chronological sequence of events because in the Hebrew mind time was not the all essential element in the cosmos as it is with us who are frozen or stuck in this evil dimension of darkness. Our God lives in the eternal now and is above and beyond time. For our sakes the time element is included in the Scriptures. But there is often an overlapping of events or flashbacks to what has already occurred. Please keep this in mind as you read this commentary because I will sometimes comment on former chapters or chapters in the future.

For, example, in the last three verses of Rev 3, 20-22 we saw Jesus standing at this door knocking. “Behold, I stand at the door.” The Greek word translated “Behold” is “Idou” which means to take a long and steady look at something….to gaze and ponder on something. In order to concentrate our attention on Christ we must be willing to turn our attention away from the things of this world. Very few are willing to do this but for those who are willing to do it Jesus has a wonderful reward for them. Yes, even for us. He is willing to take the time to sit down and have a meal with us which would include conversation and getting better acquainted with Him, the Creator of the universe. “If any man hear my voice”…this indicates there are other voices calling us. The question is my friend, “Do we know the Voice of our Divine Shepherd?” “And open the door.” Here is a door which opens only from the inside. We must open the door. Jesus is not going to force Himself into our space…into our presence. We must choose to open the door to Him. No one else can make that decision for us. Then He says, “To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with Me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in His throne.” So, we see that He has a reason for wanting to sit down and break bread with us. He wants to explain to us the battle plan he used to overcome Satan and this world. The reward is so great it staggers the imagination. “To him that overcomes I am going to grant or give the incredible honor and privilege of sitting with Me in My throne of glory, even as I overcame (in other words the victory is assured if we will only give Him a little time to explain how He gained the victory “and am set down with my Father in His throne.” Rev 3:21. In other words, “I know you can do it because I am going to be with you each step of the way….trust Me, the victory is assured.” Paul said, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Phil 4:13. This reminds me of how Gideon was finally convinced that the battle was already won when the Lord had him go down to the camp of the enemy and listen to what the enemy soldiers were saying: Notice: “God said to Gideon: ‘I’ll use the three hundred men who lapped at the stream to save you and give Middian into your hands. All the rest may go home.'” Message Bible. I don’t think today that we can truly appreciate Gideon’s position at this point. His army now has been reduced down to 300 men from 32,000. The enemy had 135,000. Judges 8:10. But the Lord read his mind and knew that in his heart he was nervous and trembling. He was still afraid of going to battle against those 135,000 heathen soldiers. So, that night, probably about ten or eleven PM the Lord spoke to Gideon again: “‘Get up and go down to the camp. I’ve given it to you. If you have any doubts about going down, go down with Purah your armor bearer; when you hear what they’re saying, you’ll be bold and confident.'” And so Gideon went down near the sentries outpost where he heard two men conversing, soldiers no doubt. Here is what the first man said to his friend: “I had this strange dream,” he was saying, “and there was this huge loaf of barley bread that fame tumbling down into our camp. It hit our tent and knocked it flat!” Judges 7:12, 13. “When Gideon heard the telling of the dream and its interpretation, he worshiped and returned to the camp of Israel and said, Arise, for the Lord has given into your hand the host of Midian.” vs 15.

In “Patriarchs & Prophets,” page 550, the author says that those 300 were chosen because they “had not defiled themselves with idolatry. God could direct them, and through them He could work deliverance for Israel.” In other words they were 100% sold out to the Lord. But beyond that they had no demons because people who worship idols are deluded, deceived and led by evil spirits. So, they were completely pure and clean like Christ in their hearts and minds. Purified and made whole, transformed and ready for translation. They were like Jesus who had total faith in the Father at all times. That is why He was raised from the grave and set on the right hand of His Father. All who believe in Him will also gain the victory.

So in Rev 4:1 we read that after He saw Jesus standing at the door knocking he saw a door that had been opened and the same voice he had heard before calling to him “like [the calling of] war trumpet said, Come up here, and I will show you what must take place in the future.” I also would like to point out that the events John saw in Rev 4 foretells or predicts an important turning point in the future of mankind because it shows a breakthrough for the human race who have finally passed through the standing invitation of the open door into the very throne room of the King of the Universe. “A throne was set (up)” or “cast down” or “placed” as Daniel 7:9 reads. Note, the throne is not empty. One sits on that throne, even the Ancient of days. In spite of Satan’s false threats and accusations God is still on His throne. He has not been unseated, driven out or overcome. The colors surrounding and encircling this throne are important. “He who sat there appeared like [the crystalline brightness of] jasper and [the fiery] sardius, and encircling the throne there was a halo that looked like [a rainbow of] emerald, [Ezek. 1:28].

The color emerald signifies three things. 1. Hope. 2. Mercy, which is a feminine characteristic. 3. Emerald, which is also a feminine color as is Beryl, both being feminine names. In Dan 10:6 we read that Gabrielle’s body “was like a beryl.”

Now John is going to see what is about to happen in the near future. If the book of Revelation is a guide book for the last segment of time, 3 1/2 + 3 1/2 =7 years, then what John wrote is what we need to know right now. The rainbow represents “the glory of God.” Paul says “the woman is the glory of the man.” I Cor 11:7. And so it is that the feminine counterpart of a man is his wife. Mankind or the human race, made in the very likeness and image (character) of God reflects the glory of God. We know from Gen 1:26 that Adam was made in the image of Jesus. So, in whose image was Eve, the female, created? This is a question that has not been answered because no one has thought to ask it. Does the Father have a wife or spouse? Does Jesus, the Son of God, have a wife? Paul answers this question in Eph 3:15: “For Whom every family in heaven and on earth is named [that Father from Whom all fatherhood takes its title and derives its name].” Of course, the Father has a wife. Her name is “El Shaddai,” the Almighty breasted One. “El” means Almighty and “Shad” is the Hebrew word for breast.

Although the ancient Hebrew scribes purposely and deliberately edited out the feminine endings to all the nouns throughout the Old Testament (and I have documented proof of that) they were not allowed to change the feminine colors in Rev 4 and Dan 10. In Isaiah 49 the Mother of our race is being accused of forsaking her children. “But Zion (Jerusalem)…said, the Lord has forsaken me, and my Lord has forgotten me. [And the Lord answered] Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, they may forget, yet I (your true Mother) will not forget you.” Isa 49:15. So, who is this mother? According to Proverbs 8:22-31; Song of Solomon 4:9 and 5:1, she is the spouse of the Creator, Jesus Christ who referred to her in Matt 11:19. “But Wisdom (who was leading and guiding Him) is justified of her children.” Remember at His baptism the Dove came down on Him, symbolic of the Holy Ghost which entered into Him in Her fulness at that time and remained with Him throughout His ministry.

Christ’s statement about Wisdom being “justified” or “vindicated” by her children was in response to the Jewish leaders criticisms of Him being a “wine bibber and glutton.” If Wisdom is actually a secret code word and/or title for the Mother of this race in the Old Testament, as Proverbs 8 indicates, then who is she today? Well, if she was manifested on the Day of Pentecost as the “Comforter” who appeared in the Tongues of Fire on the heads of the disciples and filled and fitter her children at that time to preach the gospel to all the then known world She must also be that same Holy Ghost who is to be manifested in our day in this final segment of time during the Latter Rain, for our God never changes.

For those who wish to resist and refuse to believe this argument let me ask you. “Is there only a Father and a Son in the God head Paul mentions in Rom 1:19, 20?” Paul speaks boldly on this point: “For that which is known about God is evident to them and made plain in their inner consciousness, because God [Himself] has shown it to them. For ever since the creation of the world His invisible nature and attributes, that is, His eternal power and divinity, have been made intelligible and clearly discernible in and through the things that have been made…So they (mankind) are without excuse.” So, what is it that is clearly known by what He has made? Gen 1:26, 27. “Let US make man in our own image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over …. the earth.” Who are the US? Is it only two males? A Father and a Son? No, that would be impossible. Why? Because of the simple fact that Eve being a female would have to have a Mother who brought her forth or created her. The Holy Ghost and Holy Spirit throughout the Bible along with the Hebrew and Greek words Wisdom, Mercy and Comforter are all in the feminine. Sophia is the Greek counterpart of the Hebrew word Wisdom. Both are always in the feminine. As you read the rest of Romans 1 it becomes abundantly clear that Paul is exposing Satan’s distortion of God’s original plan via the sexual perversion of homosexuality which today has emerged in our society as the “Gay Agenda.”

It has now become so powerful that it is now a “hate crime” to speak against this monstrous evil which is destroying the very fabric of the family in our culture and society today. Even a brief survey of history reveals that every society who permitted homosexuality to become the dominant lifestyle perished from the earth. Sodom and Gomorrah are two prime examples, exhibit A & B. And the same proved true in the Roman culture of which Paul was a citizen and was referring to in his day. “Does not skillful and godly Wisdom cry out, and understanding raise her voice?” Proverbs 8:1. The speaker here is obviously a woman, clearly personifying herself as the spouse of the Creator beginning in Vs 22. Here is a woman who existed before the world began and was every bit as much as a “master craftsman” and “builder” as Christ Himself whom we know to be the Creator of this planet via His heavenly Father. “Then I [Wisdom] was beside Him as a master and director of the work; and I was daily His delight, rejoicing before Him always. [Matt 3:17; John 1:2, 18].” Amplified. “Jerusalem, which is above is free, which is the Mother of us all.” Gal 4:26. Je=Jehovah in the feminine; Ru=Ruach or Spirit; Salem=Shalom or peace.” In addition to all of the above let us remember that Jesus referred to Himself as “the Way, the Truth, and the Life.” I mention this for those who may think that Wisdom is just an idea or concept through which the Lord is speaking in Proverbs 8. Furthermore, Jesus Himself is called “Wisdom” in I Cor 1:30. “But of Him are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption.” Paul tells us that in Christ are “Hid all the treasures of Wisdom and knowledge.” Col 2:3. When Jesus was baptized at the Jordan the Holy Ghost came down upon Him, rested and remained upon Him which means she indwelt Him at that time. This is the same Hebrew word meaning “dwell or dwelt.” “And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon Him.” John 1:32. The words “Remaining” or “remained” and “abode” are all from the same Greek word “Meno” which means to remain or dwell. Strong’s 3306. The Hebrew word “Shakan” also means “to dwell” and is where we get the word “Shekinah” or “Shekinah glory” which is the “feminine face of God.” In Hebrews 4:5, 8 Paul tells us that ancient Israel never “entered not in because of unbelief.” Strong’s 2663 & 2664.

The Hebrew word Paul uses is “katapausis” meaning “to settle down or colonize.” They wandered 40 years in the Sinai desert without ever allowing Jesus to abide or dwell in them. In fact, that whole generation of unbelievers died in the wilderness without ever settling down with the Lord…allowing Him to give them “rest.” That is what Jesus meant when He said, “Come unto me …and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest (salvation) unto your souls.” Matt 11:28-30. To become One with Jesus means to allow His Spirit (Holy Ghost) to abide or dwell in you…to set up house and become married to you. In Ruth 1:9 and 3:1 the Hebrew word translated “Rest” is “Menuehah” from Strong’s 4494 and 4496 and means to get married and settle down in a home with your husband.

Throughout the 4,000 years of the Old Testament, from the Fall of Adam until the birth of Christ, Michael and Gabrielle were learning how to do battle with Satan and to overcome him and his fallen, evil angels. Dan 10:12-21 is a special insight into this battle that Michael and Gabrielle waged all those millenniums. Michael is mentioned five times and Gabrielle in Daniel 8:16 and Luke 1:19, 26. Her name is also Wisdom and Holy Ghost. She has been kept “under wraps” as it were as we read in Joel 2:16. “Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts (believers who are still on milk and not into the meat of the Word); let the bridegroom (Michael or Jesus) go forth of His chamber, and the bride out of her closet.” KJV. The NAS reads, “out of her bridal chamber.” And so they are getting reading for the “Marriage Supper of the Lamb.”

When the dove (Holy Ghost) came down and remained, abode and indwelt Jesus at the time of His baptism she then stayed with Him for 3 1/2 years. All the information, knowledge and wisdom the Father and Mother had taught them about how to do battle with Satan was resident in the Holy Ghost so that when she went inside of Him, becoming part of Him it was at that time that “All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Col 2:3) was given to Him in order for Him to fulfill His mission. Before His baptism, for 30 years, Jesus was an ordinary human being just like us, but when He was filled with the Wisdom of the Holy Ghost He became the second Adam. This means He had all of the gifts Adam had in order to fulfill His mission but He never used them in a selfish way for Himself. That is how He was able to walk on water, heal the sick, raise the dead and read people’s minds. On the day of Pentecost this same Shekinah Glory entered into (indwelt) the 120 and gave them all of the gifts they used to found the Christian church. That was the early rain. The Latter Rain is coming and we will have the opportunity to also be filled with the same Shekinah Glory. The Hebrew word is “Abode” is from the Hebrew word “Yashab” Strong’s 3427. In John 1:39 Jesus invited two of John’s disciples to come and see where He “abode.” “They came and saw here he dwelt, and abode with him that day; for it was about the tenth hour.” That would have been about 4:00 PM Roman time or two hours before sunset.

I wrote about the Son and Daughter in my last book, “Into the Father’s Heart,” pages 336, 337 by showing the relationship between Michael and Gabriel in the book of Daniel where Gabrielle explains and reveals to Daniel that Michael and her are equals and working together side by side, albeit alone, as a team, against the enemy throughout the Old Testament period. If Michael is the Son of God, which we know He is, and Gabrielle is His equal, then this means she also is deity, even the daughter of the Most High, the Princess. Furthermore, in Luke 1:19 Gabrielle told Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist, “I stand in the Presence of God.”

She said this to the priest after he expressed doubts about the promised son they had been praying for now for many years but evidently had given up hope. “And Zacharias said to the angel, ‘How shall I know this for certain? For I am an old man and my wife is advanced in years. The angel (Gabrielle) answered and said to him, ‘I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news. And behold, you shall be silent and unable to speak until the day when these things take place, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their proper time.” Luke 1:18-20. NAS.

The word “stand” is from the Greek, “paristemi”or “paristano 3936 which means “To stand beside, to be at hand (or ready) also from 2476 “histemi which has the additional meaning of “to abide, continue, present as in the presence of.” This word is used only two other times in the NT and has the same meaning, to stand in the presence of. Furthermore, the word picture Daniel paints to portray Gabrielle in Daniel 10 is almost word for word as what John paints of Christ among the candlesticks in Rev 1:13-16. There is an interesting and curious difference between Gabrielle in Dan 10 and Christ. Daniel describes Gabrielle as having her “golden band” around her waist, whereas Jesus has His about his chest, Rev 1:13. Why would this be? I believe it is because a female with breasts would prefer to have the band around her waist.

Now, let’s relive again the agonies Jesus endured in the Garden. This quote is from my book, “Into the Father’s Heart,” beginning on page 334. As Jesus entered the garden of Gethsemane (meaning the oil press) His connection with the Father began to be broken up. The Bible says that He “began to be sorrowful and very heavy. Then saith He unto them, my soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death:” Matthew 26:37, 38. Then He prayed in verse 39, that if possible, the cup of death might pass from Him. This was not a selfish request. In fact, it was very unselfish. First of all, He did not want His Father to have to go through this terrible suffering with Him, for He knew His Father would suffer even more than He would. He knew the sight of His sufferings would cause His Father to “die” too, if only in a symbolical sense. Secondly, He did not want to cause any embarrassment to His Father in case He was not able to bear up under the terrible load of all the sins of the world. If He went through with it and was separated from His Father He did not know if He would ever be able to see His Father again. He knew this would crush His Father’s heart, as much as, if not even more than His own.

Never before had the communication with His Father been interrupted or broken up. This He had never before experienced. As Christ looked down that long passageway or corridor of death He could not, at that time, see any light at the other end of the tunnel. He would have to go into that dark tunnel by faith alone, not knowing if He would ever come out alive or see His Father again. Luke 22:41-44 tells how he removed Himself “about a stone’s cast,” from Peter, James and John, so they would not have to see Him suffer. An angel came to strengthen Him so He could drink the cup and that is when He began to sweat blood. Who was this angel? Do you realize that there are only two angels who are identified in the Bible? Their names are Michael and Gabriel. I am going to go into this here because it opens up a door that will reveal even greater depths of the sacrifice and suffering of Jesus Christ, which simply means, “The anointed SAVIOR.” Michael is first mentioned in Daniel 10:1, as a “Prince,” then in Dan 12:1 as “the great prince,” which stands up for “the children” or the descendants of “thy people” which could only be referring to the children of Israel, which indicates that the 144,000 sealed in Revelation 7 truly are the direct descendants of the tribes of Israel there named and numbered.

Furthermore, Michael is also mentioned two times in the New Testament. And in both instances it is in connection with resurrecting the dead, something only Jesus was able to do as we know from the story of Lazarus in John 11, whom He raised from the dead after he had been in the tomb four days. An incontestable miracle. Only God, the Creator, has power over death. In Jude 9 we are told that Michael is an “archangel,” who came to contend with the devil over the “body” of Moses. Since Moses appeared on the Mount of Transfiguration later on, Matthew 17:1-8, we can safely assume that Michael did indeed raise Moses from the dead after he was buried on Mount Nebo although his body nor his grave site were ever found. Deuteronomy 34:5, 6. For the final proof that Michael and Jesus are one and the same personage, let us read together I Thessalonians 4:16. “For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:” Once again we see that the Archangel, Michael, is raising the dead. And how does He raise them? With His voice. “Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.” John 5:25. Beloved how did he raise Jairus’ daughter from the dead? “He…took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise.” Luke 8:54. In this same manner He called forth Lazarus from the grave. “He cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.” John 11:43.

Now, let’s go back to Jesus’ praying in the garden, where He is sweating blood. Our Lord is praying that the cup of death be removed from Him. “Father, if you are willing, take this cup away from me–but it is not my will, but yours, that must be done.” Luke 22:42. The Amplified reads: “Not My will, but (always) Yours, be done.” The footnote states the Greek is in the “present imperative.” Peterson’s “Message” in contemporary language reads: “Father, remove this cup from me. But please, not what I want. What do you want?” At this point I can almost hear the Father saying in Jesus’ mind, “The demonstration is not over…it must go on my beloved Son…I am so sorry.” Surely the Father must have been weeping. And then something happened that we have not fully understood which we must examine here more fully because it will open the door to a much greater revelation of Jesus’ sufferings and what was going on behind the scenes, in another dimension we cannot see. As we know, angels are always with us but we cannot see them but now an angel appears which the disciples can see. “And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven strengthening Him.” Who is this “angel?” Remember there are only two angels in the Bible who are named. Michael and Gabriel. And remember that it was Gabriel who worked with Michael in the book of Daniel and who was sent to announce both the birth of John the Baptist and the Messiah to Zechariah and Mary. So, here we are at the most crucial and critical moment in the history of this planet. So, what angel would the Father send to help His beloved only Son make it through this crisis? Gabriel, of course.

The “Message” reads “No one helps me in my fight against these beings except Michael, your angel-prince.” The NAS (New American Standard) considered by many scholars to be the most accurate translation says: “Yet there is no one who stands firmly with me against these forces except Michael your prince.” Dan 10:21.

But who is this Gabriel? In order to answer that let’s go to the Scripture that will begin to unlock the mystery surrounding this mighty angel. “But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.” Dan. 10:21. There are two points from this text which are extremely important: 1. This mighty angel is telling Daniel that the only being high enough in rank to help her is Michael. The reason for that is Michael and Gabriel are both Archangels. There is no other angel equal in rank to them. They are the highest and most powerful. This means that in power and position or rank Gabriel and Michael are equal. If Michael is Jesus Christ, in his pre-existent state then what does that tell you about Gabriel? It means that they are both deity. Compare the parallel description Daniel gives of Gabrielle in Dan 10:5, 6 with John’s description of Jesus among the candlesticks in Rev 1:13-16 and you will see they are almost identical, like twins. In Dan 10 the colors are feminine colors.

Before we go to the second point let me explain something that most people don’t know about Gabriel. Gabriel is actually Gabrielle. When you go to Strong’s 1403 & 1404 you will see the name Gabriel also has a feminine form as we note in Strong’s, starting at 1397. And then 1376, 1377 which means lady, mistress, queen. One researcher wrote me saying: “THE ROOT FROM #1397 IS #1403 AND #1404 AND #1376 WHICH LEADS YOU RIGHT BACK TO #1397. A RULE OF HEBREW IS TO TAKE ALL THE ROOT WORDS IN FOCUS OR ELSE YOU WILL MISS THE WHOLE MEANING OF THE WORD. THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT GABRIEL IS (feminine) WOMAN NOT A (masculine) MAN. SHE IS OF AUTHORITY BECAUSE OF HER FATHER, JUST LIKE Y’HOSHUA IS OF AUTHORITY FROM THE FATHER WHO IS G-D THE FATHER BLESSED BE HIS NAME. BARUK HASHEM!”

Now, point #2 is from the word “holdeth.” Strong’s 2388 refers you to #8628 which defines the Hebrew word “taqa” whose prim. root means to clatter, i.e. slap (the hands together),…by impl. to become bondsman by hand clasping (i.e. a hand shake or agreement), also “suretiship.” So, Gabrielle is explaining to Daniel that no one else in all the universe had entered into an agreement or bondsman ship as she and Michael had and were standing alone in fighting against the enemy in order to preserve their Father’s kingdom. This hit me so hard when I first realized what this really meant that I had to stop writing and take a break.

It made me weep when I realized that Michael and Gabrielle were the only ones who understood who Lucifer really was in his true character. The rest of the angelic realm and the unfallen worlds did not see it at that time. And then I realized why Jesus had to come to this earth in a body of flesh to reveal the truth about the Father as well as the real truth about Lucifer. It confirmed this most insightful statement: “Christ did not yield up His life till He had accomplished the work which He came to do, and with His parting breath he exclaimed, ‘IT IS FINISHED.’ John 19:30. The battle had been won….All heaven triumphed in the SAVIOR’s victory. Satan was defeated, and knew that his kingdom was lost. To the angels and the unfallen worlds the cry, ‘It is finished,’ had a deep significance. It was for them as well as for us that the great work of redemption had been accomplished. They with us share the fruits of Christ’s victory. Not until the death of Christ was the character of Satan clearly revealed to the angels or to the unfallen worlds. The archapostate had so clothed himself with deception that even holy beings had not understood his principles. They had not clearly seen the nature of his rebellion.” “Desire of Ages,” pg 758.

So, why was it that no one else in the universe could see the sinful “nature” of Satan’s rebellion? Because the Father was always covering up for Lucifer, always taking the blame for whatever he did. There is not one place in the O.T. where Satan is charged, blamed or given credit for destroying anyone, even though he was continually doing it, as in the case of Job. The Father always assumed the responsibility. That is why Jesus had to come in a body of flesh to reveal the real truth about the Father. He alone, with Gabrielle, understood who Lucifer really was from the very beginning of the Great Controversy, which is exactly what Jesus revealed to the Jews, explaining clearly that Satan was their Father, and that he was a liar and a murderer. “You have the devil for your father and you wish to practice the desires (lusts) of your father; he was a murderer from the beginning and he could not stay in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie he talks naturally; for he is a liar and its father;” John 8:44.

“You give your mouth free rein for evil, and your tongue frames deceit. You sit and speak against your brother…These things you have done and I have been silent; you thought that I was one like yourself. But now I rebuke you, and lay the charge before you.” Psalm 50:19-21.

Now, let us come back to the sufferings of Jesus which begin in the Garden of Gethsemane. Not only is the Father suffering with His only Son but Gabrielle is also suffering. Here is a quote from a letter I received from a Jewish scholar regarding Michael and Gabrielle: “Shalom Mike, I agree that Gabrielle is Y’shua’s bride and sister. That is a common belief among the Jews that Gabrielle is female and Michael is male and are twins. I do believe that the Ruach Ha Kodesh (the Holy Spirit) is female and is the glory of G-d.” You can verify this from Song of Solomon 4:9 and 5:1 where Christ in symbolism refers to his beloved as “my sister, my spouse.” The second way you prove this is to look at the counterfeits in every culture. In Egypt you have Osiris and Isis. Webster’s dictionary defines Isis thusly: “The goddess of fertility, sister and wife of Osiris, usually represented with a cow’s horns surrounding a solar (or lunar) disk.”

In the Babylonian culture you have Tammuz and his twin sister and wife Ishtar. “In Ezekiel’s time the Tammuz cult had found entrance into Judah, and Hebrew women were weeping for that god at the temple gates (Ezek. 8:14);” Bible Dictionary, pg 1064. This cult was carried over into Greece and Rome finding its expression in their culture in the myth of Venus and Adonis.

Next you have Diana, who was the Roman virgin goddess of the moon and of hunting, often depicted with many breasts and sometimes identified with the Greek Artemis who was the twin sister of Apollo. “A goddess worshiped at Ephesus (Acts 19:24, 27, 28, 34, 35), more or less equivalent to Cybele, or to Magna Mater, the Great Mother, one of the many forms of the mother goddess of the Orient.” Bible Dictionary, 77. The point here is that where there are so many counterfeits there has to be a real, a genuine, an original from which these imitations and pretenders sprung. And Michael and Gabrielle are the original. So, that is the daughter. So, who is the Mother God of Israel who “brought them forth?” Song of Solomon 8:5 and Proverbs 8:22-30. Genesis 17:1 identifies her. “The Lord (Yahweh) appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before Me, and be thou perfect.” This is “El Shaddai,” THE ALMIGHTY BREASTED ONE, a very clear reference to a female deity. There is much proof in Bible Commentaries and dictionaries and on the internet for those who wish to do a little research. The Shekinah glory is also a reference used to refer to the feminine face of Yahweh or God.

So, now we have three beings who are identified as suffering with Jesus in the final hours of His mission. His Father, to whom He is praying that the cup be removed, His sister-spouse, Gabrielle, who appears at His side, obviously she was there all the time throughout His entire life, but made herself known so the disciples could see her and then you have the Holy Spirit, the true Queen of Heaven. Jeremiah 7 and 44 reveal the counterfeit Queen of heaven, whom the apostate Jews worshiped, an obvious counterfeit of El Shaddai.

And in the midst of this super natural suffering and agony, Jesus did not know if He would ever see any of His family again or if they were alright. Can you imagine the terrible suffering they were going through, especially Gabrielle? Try and put yourself in their places? How would you feel if it were your own son or brother or husband? He did not even know for sure if He would come up from the grave. If Christ had sinned in any particular, His sacrifice would have been marred or imperfect, and therefore, unacceptable. He would not have been able to come up from the grave on the resurrection morning, for the “wages of sin is death.” Romans 6:23. “The SAVIOR trod the wine press alone, and of the people there was none with Him. (Isa 63:3) But God (Elohim in the plural, the God family) suffered with His Son. Angels beheld the SAVIOR’s agony. They saw their Lord enclosed by legions of satanic forces, His nature weighed down with a shuddering, mysterious dread. There was silence in heaven. No harp was touched. Could mortals have viewed the amazement of the angelic host (they could not believe what they were seeing Satan do to Jesus) as in silent grief they watched the Father separating His beams of light, love, and glory from His beloved Son, they would better understand how offensive in His sight is sin. The worlds unfallen and the heavenly angels had watched with intense interest as the conflict drew to its close. Satan and his confederacy of evil, the legions of apostasy, watched intently this great crisis in the work of redemption. The powers of good and evil waited to see what answer would come to Christ’s thrice-repeated prayer. Angels (good) had longed to bring relief to the divine sufferer, but this might not be. No way of escape was found for the Son of God. In this awful crisis, when everything was at stake, when the mysterious cup trembled in the hand of the sufferer, the heavens opened, a light shone forth amid the stormy darkness of the crisis hour, and the mighty angel who stands in God’s presence, occupying the position from which Satan fell, came to the side of Christ. (Gabrielle) The angel came not to take the cup from Christ’s hand, but to strengthen Him to drink it, with the assurance of the Father’s love.” Desire of Ages 693. Jesus was assured that His Father was greater and more powerful than Satan and that if He would be willing to go through to the cross and die that His death would result in the total defeat of Satan and that the kingdom of this world would be given to the saints of the Most High. Daniel 7:13-15. He was reminded of Isaiah 53:11, which says that He would see the travail of His soul and be satisfied. The same thing had happened just a few weeks earlier on the Mount of Transfiguration when Moses and Elijah appeared to Jesus, Matt. 17, Mark 9, Luke 9. “These men, chosen above every angel around the throne, had come to commune with Jesus concerning the scenes of His suffering, and to comfort Him with the assurance of the sympathy of heaven. THE HOPE OF THE WORLD, THE SALVATION OF EVERY HUMAN BEING, WAS THE BURDEN OF THEIR INTERVIEW.” Desire of Ages, pg 425.” From “Into the Father’s Heart,” 334-341.

Now, let’s talk about the 24 elders. Various theories have been put forth re: these 24 elders, such as that they are angels or that they are resurrected saints from the past who rose with Christ on the first day of the week. Let us note that they have crowns and white robes. In Rev 14:14 John says that he saw “One like the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp cycle.” This is not just one person but a group of people (as we saw in Dan 7:13, 14) who are conducting the wheat harvest, which comes right after the Barley and just before the grape harvest, Rev 14:17-20. This would have to be the Barley people or the Elect or the Man Child. We know the “Elect” is not just one person, but a group, at least a little company. Hosea 11:1 will help us here to realize all these titles, including the “Christos” or “the Anointed Elect” of Rev 11:15 and 12:10 are speaking of a group of people. “When Israel was a child I loved Him and called my Son out of Egypt.” Cf Matt 2:15.

Now, as for the Four Living Creatures or beings praising God continually before the throne. They have been chosen by God to become the heavenly court. Some have thought this represents four aspects of God’s character, personality and rule. Why? Because, the lion is the king of the beasts or chief of the animal kingdom and represents God as King, symbolic of His sovereign rule over the earth. They say the Ox represents God’s energy, power and strength while the eagle symbolizes God’s Omniscience and vigilance. Last of all the man symbolizes the intelligence of all Creation who worship Him and declare His glory throughout the earth.

The only problem with this theory is that these Four Living Beings (beasts is not a good translation) act as individuals themselves the same as the 24 Elders do. Furthermore, the four Living Beings each have harps, the same as the 24 Elders and they all fall down and worship the One sitting on the throne the same as the 24 Elders, Rev 5. Sometimes the 24 elders fall down and worship while the four Living Beings just say Amen. Rev 5:13, 14. Then in Rev 6 we see the four Living Beings one after another inviting John to “Come” and watch or see what each of the four horses are doing, each in their turn. The first four horses are introduced by the four Living Beings who each say only one single word, “Come.” And that is all they ever say besides falling down and worshiping the One on the throne and playing their hearts and casting their crowns down before the One on the throne. So, who are these Four Living Beings or Beasts? Is it possible that they are translated beings from this last segment of time, this last age? Is it possible that the 24 Elders are the Elect? And the four living beings are also part of this elect only in a different capacity, such as directing and controlling the final events and affairs on this planet during the final 3 1/2 years. Why do I ask this? Because these four Living Beings could very well be the Four Angels or Messengers or Beings whom John saw holding back the winds of strife until the 144,000 are sealed.

The 24 Elders are the celestial representatives of all the saved, glorified and redeemed. Their white robes represent and symbolize purity. And their crowns signify and are indicative of their total victory over the “lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life.” I John 2:16; I Chron 24:4; 25:9-13. The number 24 is also found in Ezekiel 8:16. Remember also that there were 12 Tribes of Israel in the O.T. and 12 Apostles in the NT. I Pet 2:9 speaks of a royal priesthood. Rev 4:5 reveal seven lamps burning before the throne the same as Rev 1:20. This suggests that these 24 elders have been chosen as representatives of these seven churches.

Now, let’s look more closely at the Two Witnesses of Rev 11 in connection with the 24 Elders as well as the four living beings. EGW in Great Controversy, the chapter on the “French Revolution” states that the Bible itself, in particular the Old & New Testaments, symbolized the Two Witnesses. We must realize the French Revolution took place 206 years ago. So, is it possible that there will be a final application or fulfillment, a dual or double application to this prophecy of the Two Witnesses? Yes, I believe there will be. Now, let me deal with the theory that the Two Witnesses are Enoch and Elijah or Moses and Elijah. I believe there are more than one theory on this topic. My question is this: How could Enoch, Elijah or Moses be “overcome and killed?”

Beloved, that would be impossible if these two witnesses are already immortal beings. Moreover Rev 11:12 states that they will be translated up to heaven, the same as the Man-child in Rev 12:5. If they were already immortal beings they 1. Could not be killed or see death. 2. If they already had immortality they would not need to be translated. For these reasons I do not believe the two witnesses are Enoch, Elijah or Moses. So, who are the Two Witnesses? I believe the phrase Two Witnesses is simply another title for the Elect or the Mature Church of Philadelphia. And here is why I believe that. Rev 3:20 promises those who overcome the privilege of sitting with Christ in His throne. This is the next to last verse of Rev 3 just before John is taken up in Rev 4:1 to the very throne room of the Most High. With John we now can see through the “Open Door” Jesus promised all would pass through who overcome in this last age. And we see Jesus seated with His Father surrounded by 24 thrones which have been set for the time of the judgment. These 24 elders have “white raiment” and they also have “crowns of gold” on their heads the same as the one described in Rev 14:14. “And I looked and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of Man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.” Please notice that the text does not say it was Jesus or the Lord or even the Son of Man but “One like or similar unto the Son of Man.” Hosea 11:1 shows us that the Hebrew writers often referred to One person as a group or nation. “When Israel was a child I loved him and called my son out of Egypt.” Cf. Matt 2:15.

So, these “Two Witnesses” also represent a group or nation of people like the Man-child of Rev 12:5 who is a Nation. Isa 66:7, 8. These 24 elders have a high position. The number 24 refers to the priestly line. So, these 24 elders have been chosen to rule and reign over the whole earth. In Rev 11:15 we see the transfer of power taking place under the 7th trumpet. “And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever.” Rev 11:15. The very next verse pictures the 24 elders as sitting on their seats which is a clear indication that the Lord is ruling this earth through them.

Now, let’s talk about the sealed scroll. One of the best explanations I found in my research is the following: “Henry Morris, in agreement with many dispensational interpreters (e.g., Ironside, Criswell, Lindsey), wrote ‘But what is this remarkable scroll? It is nothing less than the title deed to the earth itself..'” Walvoord notes: “Roman law required a will to be sealed seven times as illustrated in the wills left by Augustus and Vespasian for their successors.’ The mighty judgments of the Tribulation period that are unleashed by the opening of the document all are part of God’s reclaiming for Himself the control of the earth, which was forfeited to Satan by the fall of Adam and Eve long ago. The ‘redemption of the purchased possession’ (Eph 1:14) is accompanied by long-overdue punishments upon the usurpers who have ‘destroyed the earth’ Rev 11:18) and defied their Creator. Ryrie writes: ‘Actually, we are not told in this chapter what the book contained, but when the seals are broken in chapter 6 the judgments of God are poured out on the earth. When the seventh trumpet blows, Christ is said to receive the kingdoms of this world (11:15). Under Jewish law, real estate that had been forfeited by a man could be redeemed (bought back) by any near kinsman (Lev 25:25). To redeem the earth, forfeited by man, the redeemer must be a kinsman (hence a man, not an angel) and must come forward with the purchase price in hand–something that no one in the universe could do except Jesus (see I Pet. 1:18-19). In his book, “UNFOLDING THE REVELATION,” in a comment on Rev 4, R. A. Anderson makes this brilliant statement: “The whole objective of these prophecies is to reveal the justice of God and to show how His character will be vindicated before the universe. There is a striking similarity between John’s description in Revelation 4 and Daniel’s description in Dan 7:9-14. Both prophets were looking at the same scene.”

Let us now consider the seven seals: “The number seven being a symbol of perfection (see on ch. 1:11), this statement would imply that the ‘book’ was perfectly sealed. In fact, no one but the Lamb could open it (see ch. 5:3, 5). According to COL 294, the decision of the Jewish rulers to reject Christ “was registered in the book which John saw in the hand of Him that sat upon the throne.” Apparently, then, that sealed book includes more than a record of events during the period of the Christian church, though the prophecies of the Revelation are specifically concerned with the latter. See on ch. 6:1.” SDA BC 770-771. With this insight we now are able to discern both the nature and purpose of this mysterious book no man can open. Only a human being who is totally One with the Father would have the wisdom and ability to open this book.

Let’s now go back to the parallels between Dan 7 and Rev 4 regarding the placement or setting down of the thrones of Judgment. In Dan 7:9-14 we see that thrones are set up but no number is given nor are any judges sitting on those thrones. In Dan 7 the Ancient of Days was seated or had taken His place as the One having the right to preside over this court scene. In other words He did not just usurp this position of authority. A decision had been made and a vote taken that He is the rightful ruler of the universe and especially planet earth. The book of Job gives us some insight in regard to the challenges and accusations against both mankind and His Creator. Obviously, if mankind is flawed then the One who made Him must of necessity also be flawed. And His right to rule questioned. This is the heart of the Great Controversy between Christ and Satan. If God the Father was in Christ in His incarnation, ministry, trial and crucifixion then the Father has been on trial right from the beginning as we read in Isaiah 14:12-14. “How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who have weakened the nations! But you said in hour heart, I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, and I will sit on the mount of assembly In the recesses of the north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.'”

“These things you have done and I kept silent; you thought I was one entirely like you. But [now] I will reprove you and [the charge] in order before your eyes.” Psalm 50:21. Until this very day the Father has never spoken, as we see in the above passage. Jesus confirms this in John 5:37. “And the Father who sent Me has Himself born witness to Me. His voice you have never heard, his form you have never seen.” In this judgment scene the Father is seen giving a warm welcome to His children who will be His voice, hands and feet in witnessing to His righteous goodness, mercy and power.

This is what will bring the power and rule of the beast system to its final end at the close of the first three and one half years. Dan 7:11. “I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed , and given to the burning flame. As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and a time.” That would be one year and three months. And so we see that NWO will be destroyed literally and spiritually. They will lose their dominion and authority to rule which will be given to the saints of the Most High as we have already read in Rev 11:15 during the 7th trumpet. As the centuries of time roll by the prophetic scroll continues to unfold like a play on stage scene by scene. A few weeks ago a fellow researcher and friend called me from Chicago regarding my latest book, “Into the Father’s Heart.” In the course of our conversation I mentioned that I ended up with seven levels of the character of God. This seemed to inspire him because he immediately responded by quoting to me a verse from Proverbs which I have read before but had never assigned any significance to per se. But here it is: “Wisdom has built her house (temple), she has hewn out her seven pillars:” Proverbs 9:1. Although the importance of what he had stated did not impact my mind at that time the Lord brought it back to my memory impressing me that this was an extremely important verse of Scripture. He had not given the exact reference so I had to look it up in Strong’s. But as I read it for myself the Holy Ghost began telling me that these seven pillars Wisdom built were indeed related to the seven levels of understanding that I had written about in my book “Into the Father’s Heart.” This truly did impact my brain very powerfully. Could this really be true? And then I began to analyze the history of this book itself and how it had taken 30 years for it to evolve into its present format of 602 pages. I also thought of the miraculous way the Lord had impressed a few people to give the amount needed to publish the book. In addition to that it never ceases to amaze me how the Spirit prompts me each time I leave the house to make sure I have pamphlets and papers and at least four of these books in my hands to pass out to people I meet wherever I go. This was not the case in 1982 when IFH was first published. There was not such a sense of urgency to get the message into the hands of the people. Nor was there such an enthusiastic acceptance on the part of those who see the book and say they want to read it. This is incredible in and of itself. And then the request for the book to be sent to all parts of the USA and to Africa and the Philippines is also increasing. This did not happen with the first edition back in 1982. So, the more I talked to people about this verse in Proverbs 9 the more convinced I have become that these seven levels truly were supernaturally given to me to put into this book. But that is not the end of it. Just yesterday I was impressed to read the next two verses and on in Proverbs 9. Listen: “She (Wisdom) has killed (slain) her beasts; she has mingled her wine; she has also furnished her table. She has sent forth her maidens: she cries upon the highest places of the city.” As I read that the Lord brought to my mind Daniel 7:11, 12. “I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burn flame. As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged a season and time.” A time is one year and a season is three months. The LB reads: “Wisdom has built a palace supported on seven pillars, and has prepared a great banquet, and mixed the wines (doctrines of truth), and sent out her maidens (five wise virgins, Matt 25) inviting all to come. She calls from the busiest intersections in the city, ‘Come, you simple ones without good judgment; come to wisdom’s banquet and drink the wines (doctrines of truth) that I have mixed. Leave behind your foolishness and begin to live; learn how to be wise.” Proverbs 9:1-6.

Before we leave chapter 6 I want to comment on an important verse that I think has been unjustly ignored and possibly rejected for centuries. This is verse 13 which I will quote in a moment with my comments. But notice first the “loud voice” in vs 12. “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.” This is what every human being wants and seeks for all his life. But look at what Christ had to go through before even He could receive it…He had to be “slain.” So that is the key to it all but how we seek to avoid this death to self which is so vital to our spiritual growth. I know Jesus did die a literal death on the cross but I am using that as a metaphor here to illustrate further what He taught us…”Take up your cross and follow Me.” So, at the end of road we too will receive all of the above as we sit with Christ on His throne. Now to vs. 13. “And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be unto him that sits upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.” We do not need a modern version to understand the basic message of this verse. And that is simply that if every creature is blessing and praising the Lamb then that means He has truly been totally successful in bringing back all of the Lost Sheep safely to the fold which 2 Peter 3:9 clearly states He intends to do. The same idea is stated in Rev 15:1-4. These two verses along with Phil 2:5-11prove conclusively that Universal Salvation is a hope and which will become a fully realized dream after the 1,000 years. I will go into more detail about this in Rev 20.

Now, let’s read Rev 19 to show how this will be fulfilled. “And the armies which were in heaven followed Him (Jesus) upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God (El Shaddai). And He has on His vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; That you may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him that sat on the horse, and against His army. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshiped his image. These were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the Remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of His mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.” Rev 19:14-21 . When we come to chapter 20 I will give an in-depth explanation for the “Lake of Fire” and “brimstone.”
